mmwave studio problem with iwr1642 channel configuration

I would like to ask, where to choose the 1Tx launch and 2Tx launch settings for iwr1642 using mmwave studio. I tried to change the check box of the option box under chirp in the figure below (others use the default parameters). Channel, under the same conditions of other parameters, check Tx0 and Tx0Tx1 at the same time, there is no difference in the file size. If I choose one transmission channel and two transmission channels, it is wrong:
1. Please tell me how do I choose one or two transmission channels?
If there are no errors:
2. Does this mean that the number of transmission channels does not affect the file size?
last question:
3. What effect will the number of transmitting channels have?

  • In order to do TDM MIMO, you need to configure two chirps,

    1) the first chirp: profile ID = 0,  start chirp = 0, end chirp ID = 0, enable TX0;

    2) the second chirp: profile ID = 0 (same), start chirp = 1, end chip = 1, enable TX1.

    Then in frame configuration, you will need to program start chirp = 0, and end chirp = 1. 

    In this way, you will be able to double the data size from the single TX case.

    If you enable TX0 and TX1 in one chirp, you are enable TX1 and TX0 at the same time.

  • Do you want to use TDM-MIMO mode to achieve 8 visual antenna and better angle resolution? or you want to enable TX1 and TX0 at the same time to increase the TX power?

    解析数据的方法。例如如果使用BPM-MIMO模式,你需要通过相邻两个chirp的数据来解析各个TX的数据。具体请参考文档SWRA554A MIMO Radar里面的4.2 BPM-MIMO章节。

    你还可以参考下面的论坛讨论来了解如何配置BPM模式的chirp。请注意,目前mmwave studio的后处理代码还不支持BPM模式的数据,需要你自己来写代码做后处理。
