BQ40Z80: Three question about Protections and Permanent Fail

Part Number: BQ40Z80
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

(1)About Valid Charge Termination, Condition:All of the following conditions must occur for two consecutive 40-s periods: Charging (that is, BatteryStatus[DSG] = 0) AND AverageCurrent() < Charge Term Taper Current AND Max cell voltage1..7 + Charge Term Voltage ≥ ChargingVoltage() / number of cells in series AND The accumulated change in capacity > 0.25 mAh.

Q1:What causes this condition? I don't quite understand this condition.

(2)About Permanent Fail

Q2:How to recover when enter Permanent Fail mode? Can it work properly again?

(3)About Protections

Q3:Will there be a problem if Threshold equals Recovery? There is a situation on my side. Is a long use battery, often trigger COV, resulting in its power in about 96% can not be charged.
