Analog myParts Kit

myParts Kit

The myParts Kit is a set of popular analog ICs and passive components that provides students a tool to use when exploring electronics circuits through hands-on experimentation. The kit comes with over 50 components that are the building blocks of all electronics, including op-amps, an instrumentation amplifier, a comparator, voltage regulators, switching regulators, digital logic gates, timers, temperature sensors, data converters, transistors, resistors, capacitors, LEDs, switches, a wiring kit and more. 

The myParts Kit enables your students to run experiments that help them understand real-life applications in areas such as power management, audio amplification, spinning motors, light detection, signal conditioning, data acquisition and telecommunications, to name a few.

Analog Systems Experiments – I

Analog Systems Experiments – I is a set of experiments, created to introduce electronics theory and circuits through analysis, simulation and incorporates National Instruments' Multisim 13.0, and realization using the TI myParts Kit and NI myDAQ. The experiments include all that is needed to study, build, and test preselected circuits representative of basic elements of electronics used in many applications. 

The experiments explored are, Active filters, Triangular Wave Generator, R-2R Resistive DAC, LED Control using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), Light Detector Circuit, Audio Amplifier 

Analog Systems Experiments – II

Analog Systems Experiments – II is an extension of the first Experiments book with additional experiments to explore. 

The experiments explored are, Arithmetic Operations, Modulating and demodulating message using Pulse Width, Time Division Multiplexing Modulation, Sine Wave Divider, Precision Rectifiers, Switching Regulators, Missing Pulse Detector, Pulse Delay Circuit, Pulse Position Modulation, N/N+1 Frequency Divider, Priority Encoder, Password Controlled Buzzer, Digitally Controlled Oscillator using a serial Digital-to-Analog Converter, Capacitance Meter. 

Circuits by Fawwaz T. Ulaby & Michel M Maharbiz

Circuits is a textbook for the introduction of electrical circuits theory for Electrical Engineering. This book contains 22 technology briefs, each providing an overview of a topic that every electrical and computer engineering professional should become familiar with. Electronic displays, data storage media, sensors and actuators, supercapacitors, and 3D imaging are typical of the topics shared with the reader. Most chapters include a section focused on how certain devices or circuits might be used in practical applications. Examples include power supplies, CMOS inverters in computer processors, and signal modulators.

NI myDAQ and MULTISIM PROBLEMS FOR CIRCUITS

The NI myDAQ and MULTISIM PROBLEMS FOR CIRCUITs is a supplement to Circuits by Ulaby and Maharbiz. This experiment book contains 40 additional homework problems designed for three-way solution: analytical, simulation, and measurement. After solving the problem analytically the student continues by solving the same problem with NI Multisim (included with the textbook) and then once again with NI myDAQ computer-based instrumentation and circuit components. By iterating on each dimension of the problem until all three agree students “triangulate on the truth” and develop confidence in their analytical and laboratory skills.

NI myDAQ

NI myDAQ is a low-cost data acquisition (DAQ) device that gives students the ability to measure and analyze live signals anywhere, anytime. NI myDAQ is compact and portable so students can extend hands-on learning outside of the lab environment using industry-standard tools and methods. NI myDAQ combines hardware with eight ready-to-run software-defined instruments, including a function generator, oscilloscope, and digital multi-meter (DMM).
