The only way to recover that is going to be to reprogram the gauge. The most common cause of a DFF is if a DFI file for a different firmware version is programmed on the gauge.
To reprogram the gauge you will need to:
1) Go to ROM mode. Send command 0F00 to command 00 using Pro screen.
2) Program the attached SENC file using the Srec Programming section in the Pro screen.
3) Once programming is finished, send command 08 under the Send SMB Command section of Pro screen.
