LMP2234: Why is 16.93mV at the input of LM2234 in TIA circuit ?

         I build a TIA ciruit in TINA with LMP2234 and used multimeter to test voltage,  I don't know why there is 16.93 mV  at  the input LMP2234,

  • Amplifier has input bias current, LMP2234 is one ultra-low input bias current precision amplifier , and its input bias current has only +-20fA (typical value) and the max +-1pA,+-50pA. So the Iib*R3 would generate the voltage on VF2.  

    If you used the tiny current measurement with TIA, you could remove the R3 .

         Thanks  for  your  reply.

        The R3 is  parasitic resistance of photodiodes  and  it can not be  removed. 

         It is  strange that i  used LMV721 to replace lmp2234, the  voltage is only 29.86uV, but its input bias current is 260nA (typical).  Its current is bigger than ones of  lmp2234,but the voltage is smalller than ones of lmp2234.

  • 您好,我仿真了几款TIA,基本上同相端的这个位置都会有一定的电压。这个电压确实是由输入偏置电流带来的影响,我们利用运放的高输入阻抗得到虚短的特性,理论上来说,同向端和反向端的电位相同,但是由于实际运放存在输入偏置电流,那么这个电流就会通过反馈回路形成一定的压降。

    我在同相端加了一个和反馈电阻同样大的200Kohm到地,目的就是为了平衡同相端和反向端输入偏置电流在电阻上产生的压降,提高共模抑制减少噪声的拾取。 下面是我用LMV721仿真的电路,可以发现,此时同相端和反向端的电压相同。

    另外,补偿电容您使用的100nF太大了,我改成4.7pF,输出结果Vout=Iin*Rf满足增益要求。
