TMS320F280049: About the example code "CODE_ALIGN" pragma's parameter meaning

Dear engineers of TI:

I'v seen "CODE_ALIGN" pragma in the example project and its seconed parameter is 2.(As shown below)

I'v searched in the "TMS320C28x Optimizing C/C++ Compiler" manual(Literature Number: SPRU514Z)

about this directive but I got no explanations about the second parameter.

So my question is: What's the second parameter's unit? Is it byte(8-bits)? or word(16-bits)?
