You can refer to the Thermistor Comparator section on the Electrical Characteristics table in the BQ24610 datasheet. The temperature is sensed as a voltage and compared internally to comparators that have references set as a % of VREF. The EC tables have the min, typ and max values for rising and falling (hysteresis). Section 9.3.18 Temperature Qualification also explains TS functionality.
