GND和输出短路时间长?

  • 见datasheet第一页:

    When the output load exceeds the current-limit threshold or a short is present, the device limits the output current

    to a safe level by switching into a constant-current mode, pulling the overcurrent (OCx) logic output low. When

    continuous heavy overloads and short-circuits increase the power dissipation in the switch, causing the junction

    temperature to rise, a thermal protection circuit shuts off the switch to prevent damage.

    输出短路会造成芯片结温上升而导致芯片热保护。

    为什么我的TPS2044烧了一个了,其他的测试短路也非常烫,是不是这个2044的输出端不可以长时间和GND短路

  • 芯片在140℃后就要做热保护了,所以烫是必然的,但是在通常的时候都是先过流,再过温。不建议直接短路Vout到GND测试短路现象。见第十六页短路输出电流和温度对应图,事实上短路时的电流也是有限的。

    其次在输出增加0.01uF~0.1uF的电容可以改善短路瞬态反应。

  • OCP后会进入一个恒流状态是什么意思?是达到OCP点时,就恒流输出吗 ?一直不确定OCP到底应该怎么测试呢?谢谢!

    关于OCP的测试,您可以用chroma负载机或者其他负载测试看看,例如在不同的负载下测试实际的输出电流。
