LM5122: 利用COMP重建bypass功能这里的二极管是什么作用，去掉又如何？

I have one question about this diode’s function. I know the bule box is for Bypass, because SS pin will be noised during soft start. And we can find it at TI.com with the document ZHCA618.

But I can’t understand this diode’s function, how to work. If remove it, so what? Please help to explain it.

Normally, SS is about 4V, COMP is about 1.2V(boost) or 0V(no boost). Internal SS pin is only 10uA current source, if one diode IR>10uA at 85C, there may be a risk for SS normal function.
