We do not provide certification for TI provided hardware or software to the IEC 60730 Class B and UL 1998 Class 1 and this is typically done at the system level. Requirements in these specs are derived from the IEC 61508 and the device will be certified for IEC 61508 SIL-2/ISO-26262 ASIL-B (systematic capability of ASIL-D/SIL-3).
The various features we support for the M4 MCU and IPs within the MCU channel satisfies the recommendations provided by the IEC 60730 and UL 1998 safety standards. Also select components of software provided by TI is developed with standards to meet functional safety requirements.
