RC4580: PCN change-Wire binding

Part Number: RC4580

Hi expert,

According to PCN number: 20231114002.1

Will changing the Wire Binding material from gold to copper affect the chip's current consumption? Since gold has higher electrical conductivity than copper, will this result in a decrease in current consumption?

Best regards,

Winnie

  • Due to the Spring Festival holiday, there will be a delay in the response, and it is expected to be replied on the 24th.

  • No the wire bonding material from gold to copper will not affect the quiescent current of the device. The current is determined by the transistor level design and not the wire bonding material. We also production test every unit that leaves the factory to verify the current of every op amp meets the specifications in the data sheet.
