We won't have a device that can retain it's last state. You could try putting a pull down on the control pins to retain a specific state at start up but it wouldn't be the last known state. That would likely be something you need to find on the controller side. Maybe an MCU that can retain it's GPIO states when after a power cycle so the mux can be controlled in the way they want.
Is there a comp switch that already does this though that we need to be aware of?
