SN65DPHY440SS: Communication distance

Our company specializes in industrial endoscopes. The maximum stable communication distance between the camera and the SN65DPHY440SS in our setup is 6 meters. However, when the distance is extended to 7 meters, the video feed starts stuttering. We intend to adjust the register configurations of the SN65DPHY440SS via I2C to extend the effective communication distance between the camera and the SN65DPHY440SS.

    Have they tried to tune the DPHY440 RX EQ in register 0x09?

    The DPHY440 supports up to 5dB at 750MHz. This is intended to compensate the ISI insertion loss of the cable up to a certain extent. But if the 7m insertion loss exceeds the DPHY440 RX EQ compensation capability, then the camera TX needs to provide additional compensation.
