TPS25750: The necessity of 5V3A power path

I want to know why there is a 5V3A sourcing power path？

This requires a DCDC(can bear 3.35A) from battery to PP5V.

Why not merge the 5V3A sourcing power rail and PPHV sourcing/sink power path?
