ETH0 device can not be found ,when using DP83867 driver under arm-Linux verson4.6 .
My question are :
1. Can DP83867 official Linux driver work with ervery Linux kernel version?
2. If no, We need to now which Linux kernel version is suitable for DP83867 official Linux driver
3. Any source code and documents from TI for about how to use DP83867 chipset based on arm-Linux
4.Do you have DP83867 EVM board running Linux ?
Hello,
Linux driver version support can be checked at below link..
https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/latest/source/drivers/net/phy/dp83867.c
In addition, Our software and linux drivers are available in this link below: https://www.ti.com/tool/ETHERNET-SW#overview
HI ,Kailyn,
Thanks for your quickly reply.
The sitiuation in our side is that We use Linux4.6 and DP83867 driver from TI,
It is in the list you supplied . So it should work .
But we get error message as below, during boot Linux.
................
libphy: MACB_mii_bus: probed
dp83867_of_init
macb e000b000.ethernet eth0: Could not attach to PHY
e1000e: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - 3.2.6-k
.................
My further questions are :
1. Do you have any the suggestion for this mesage "macb e000b000.ethernet eth0: Could not attach to PHY"?
is it related to hardware connection? or is it related to implement using DP83867 driver from TI?
2. Do you have any DP83867 EVM board running ARM-Linux ? If yes, We need the information or linkage about this board.
Best Regard
Yuhao Pan
