Hello, during the testing phase, we found an issue with the MAX3232CDR we supply to the SMT factory. Some of the products from the same production batch are connected to the serial port, while others are not. After replacing the MAX3232CDR with another batch, the entire board will operate normally. May I ask what the reason is?

    Regarding your query, we suggest you check the abnormally chip whether SMD assembly are OK.
    For example, product appearance, connectivity.
    Then measure and compare normal chip and unusual chip's performance, to determine where the anomaly occurs.

    If the problem is with the MAX3232 chip and you order it from TI or authorized distributors.
