AM26LS31等 RS-422驱动器通常用于一次驱动多达10个接收器节点。 不过、这不是硬性限制、在某些情况下可以实现更高的节点数。 (每个接收器将并联添加负载、从而使驱动器输出更多电流。 驱动器输出电流的增加会导致输出电压降低、因为驱动器源电阻上的压降会增加。 应限制最大节点数、使驱动器输出电压保持足够大、以便所有接收器节点可靠地检测到。)
