TMS320F280049: Up to 21 OR 23 external channels

Part Number: TMS320F280049

It says there are up to 21 external channels on the TMS320F280049, but the Table 12-2. Analog Pins and Internal Connections on the technical reference manual, there are up to 24 channels. is it a clerical error or my misunderstanding about the Table?

    Hi,

    In the datasheet the statement regarding the Max ADC external pins being 21 is correct. 

    We need to look at it from perspective of Package/ pinout, 100QFP being the highest pin package has 21 external channels. 

    If we look at the table snippet you can see the 100PZ column (3rd Column) and match it with ADC pins. 

    For better understanding you can check the "Pin attributes section 6.2" there mux-ing is mentioned a bit more clearly.

    yes, the datasheet has only 21 external channels without A7,B5,C12 which are put on the technical refference manual.Table 12-2
