The dual code security module (DCSM) is a security feature incorporated in this device. It prevents access and visibility to on-chip secure memories (and other secure resources) to unauthorized persons. It also prevents duplication and reverse engineering of proprietary code. The term “secure” implies access to on- chip secure memories and resources are blocked. The term “unsecure” implies access is allowed (the contents of the memory could be read by any means); for example, through a debugging tool such as Code Composer Studio™. The CPU subsystem's CSM has dual-zone security, zone1 and zone2.
