Time-Base Counter Synchronization of 28335 PWM modules (28335 PWM计数同步问题)

Is the EPWM4SYNCI connected to EPWM1SYNCO or EPWM3SYNCO?

In  Figure 3-7 (page 232 of TMS320x2833x Technical Reference Manual ), it seems that EPWM4SYNCI is connected to EPWM1SYNCO.

But in Figure 3-53 (page 285 of TMS320x2833xTechnical Reference Manual ), it seems that EPWM4SYNCI is connected to EPWM3SYNCO.

These two explanations are very confusing. Is there any specific explanation about EPWMxSYNCI and EPWMxSYNCO?

TMS320x2833x Technical Reference Manual 的232页,图3-7可以看出,EPWM4SYNCI 端口是连接 EPWM1SYNCO的,

但是TMS320x2833x Technical Reference Manual 的285页,图3-53可以看出,EPWM4SYNCI 端口是连接 EPWM3SYNCO的.

这两处表述令人很困惑,请问各个模块的SYNCI和SYNCO到底是什么链接和配置方式?

  • 你好,ePWM的同步信号仅来自前一个ePWM模块的 EPWMxSYNCO:
    EPWMxSYNCI Time-base synchronization input.
    Input pulse used to synchronize the time-base counter with the counter of ePWM module earlier in the
    synchronization chain. An ePWM peripheral can be configured to use or ignore this signal. For the first ePWM
    module (EPWM1) this signal comes from a device pin. For subsequent ePWM modules this signal is passed
    from another ePWM peripheral. For example, EPWM2SYNCI is generated by the ePWM1 peripheral,
    EPWM3SYNCI is generated by ePWM2 and so forth. See Section 3.2.2.3.3 for information on the
    synchronization order of a particular device.

  • 也不能说错吧,可能他画的图示有问题
  • 我实际的实验结果是3-7是对的,3-53是错的。EPWM4只能和EPWM1同步不能跟EPWM3同步,建议勘误。
  • 你好,非常感谢你的反馈,应该说图3-7的描述是正确的。而图3-53的要点是表明所有PWM都是同步的。 ePWM4的SyncI应该来自ePWM1 SyncO。
  • 对对。4和1同步,3也和1同步,这样3和4就是同步的了。
