CAL0/CAL1 are regular ADC inputs mapped to channel select for all ADCs. This can give you the flexibility to use these two channels on whichever ADCs you want. Alternatively, you could feed the same signal to multiple ADCs to calibrate out any ADC-to-ADC error. For applications that require redundancy, you could feed the same signal to two (or more) different ADCs, then process the conversion results on the two different cores.
