I am using C2000Ware MotorControl SDK v5.04.00.00 on the TMS320F2800154 microcontroller to control a traction drive motor. To reduce system cost, Hall-effect sensors were employed for rotor position feedback. During commissioning, I observed that motor startup and stopping are not smooth, exhibiting noticeable jerkiness or abrupt transitions. Furthermore, this motor is required to deliver up to three times its rated torque during hill-climbing operation.
Given these high-torque transient demands, how can I achieve smooth startup performance while maintaining robustness under such heavy load conditions?
