Hello:

I am currently using the DRV8873H to design an electromagnetic lock driver with bidirectional operation. The maximum driving current is about 6.5A, the driving voltage is 12V, and hardware PWM mode is set. The SR pin is connected to ground through a 22K resistor, nITRIP and nOL are connected to DVDD through 1K resistors. In operation, for forward rotation of the load, IN1 receives three consecutive 200ms logic high pulses with 100ms intervals, and IN2 receives a logic low. OUT1 outputs normally three times, but OUT2 has 20V spike pulses, the chip overheats, and the reverse rotation situation is similar. Could you please tell me the reason? Thank you!
