Hi All,

When I test TPS54320EVM and learning TPS54320 datasheet. I found two questiones and hope you can help me solve it.

1. When TPS54320EVM no load power off, the SS pin will shows a unexpected pulse. It is seemed that Vin has been lower than UVLO and the device should have shut down. What makes SS pin has thi pulse, what is our principle and steps of TPS54320 shutdown? Pls let me know all of them to help me figure this phenomenon?

2. When I learn TPS54320 datasheet I found an additional formula of calculate output capacitance. But I don't know the principle of it. Why we need to those 4 switch cycle time in calcuating the voltage ripple? Is it an empirical value or a specific requirement?

    每当有输入UVLO时,我们真的不担心软启动引脚——因为一旦输入UVLO被击中,我们就可以确定不会切换降压。

    对于电容值,这是一个经验公式,实际上我们选择了8左右的更多周期。

  • 1. 我想搞清楚为什么ss引脚上会在空载的时候有这个脉冲,可能他不会影响工作,但是这个脉冲是否说明了TPS54320内部的一些启动逻辑。我根据现象的理解是由于空载时,输出掉电慢,所以Vsense 一直没有下降,芯片内部将其识别为一种PG的信号,并尝试重启芯片,所以SS电容开始充电。但是这个理解并没有在手册中有时序或逻辑说明,所以您能否可以再进行一下测试并说明这个现象的原因。

    2. 这个8周期是在进行瞬态负载输出电容计算时的一个通用计算方法,还是要根据瞬态负载的变化率去设置不同的经验值,有没有一个类似经验表之类的参考,可以帮助我设计输出电容。

    SS引脚行为是IC内部的——我已经与设计团队谈过了,我也得到了同样的回复,“一旦输入UVLO被击中,降压就不会切换,我们不应该担心SS引脚行为”。

    I just want to confirm, why is the time in the transient ripple calculation formula set to 4 or 8 cycles? What is the basis for this choice?
