We have implemented a board with BQ25798 to charge the 3S battery. Our implementation use the BQ25798 to read the battery and charge it to 12.3V.
There is no problem with the normal charge process. In addition, we use the VSYS to provide power for the MPU and sensors. However, when we do the error test which means disconnect the battery positive voltage side during the charging with 1A.，the BQ25798 charge status does not return to NOTCHARGE( known as 000 for bit7-5 in register 0x1C) in the register and it goes to Taper Charge (CV mode) which is 110 for bit7-5 in register 0x1C. We have also tested the BQ25798EVM board and it could run back to NOTCHARGE.
Is there any solution for this problem?
