We plan to use it in two cases as follows.
Case 1: VIN 12V, VOUT 9.7V, IOUT 180mA Case 2: VIN 12V, VOUT 9.4V, IOUT 420mA
I want to use the same circuit by changing only the inductor and current limiting resistor.
In both cases, changing KIND does not cause the inductor ripple current to exceed 300mA.
Case 1:
L : { 12.0 X ( 12.0 - 9.7 ) } / { 12.0 X 0.6 X 0.18 X 1.0 } = 17.21uH => 15.0uH
IL : { 9.7 X ( 12.0 - 9.7 ) } / { 12.0 X 15.0 X 1.0 } = 0.12mA <= 0.30mA (TI suggested)
Case 2:
L : { 12.0 X ( 12.0 - 9.4 ) } / { 12.0 X 0.6 X 0.42 X 1.0 } = 10.73uH => 10.0uH
IL : { 9.4 X ( 12.0 - 9.4 ) } / { 12.0 X 10.0 X 1.0 } = 0.27mA <= 0.30mA (TI suggested)
In condition like the above, wouldn't it be recommended to use TPS92200?
Or am I misunderstanding?
