BQ76907: I2C communication issue

As the below scenario shown in the picture；
If timout enable configuration is 25ms in BQ76907, atfer SCL held 25ms. BQ76907 can reset.

I would like to know how to understand the "Reset".

Only reset I2C ip?
Does the I2C communication protocol can be reset? Uncomplete data response can be discarded? When a new request command from host, protocol only response the new command?

Hello,
BQ76907 work as I2C slave only, a timeout will trigger a I2C reset.

How to understand the bus logic reset? The protocol is also reset? So, the uncompleted logic in the FW can be discard. And a new sequence protocol is ready for the new request from host?

Hello,

It means that BQ76907 release SDA and ignore the received data previous , since SCL is controlled by I2C master.

And be ready to receive a new I2C frame data.
