Part Number: TPS5430
Hello TI Support,
I have two batches of devices marked “5430” in an 8-pin PowerPAD SOIC package, which appear to be TPS5430 devices.
The older device has a vertical stripe on the left side of the top marking, while the recently purchased device has a dot near the lower-left corner instead of the vertical stripe.
The visible markings appear to be:
Device 1 (recently purchased, with dot):
5430
TI 64A
P0TDG4
Device 2 (older stock, with vertical stripe):
5430
TI 241
ZY2PG4
I checked TI’s TPS5430DDA top-side marking information, which indicates a “Pin 1 Stripe.” Therefore, I am concerned about whether the dot-style marking is also a valid marking used by TI, possibly from a different assembly site, date code, or marking process.
Could you please help clarify the following?
-
Are both the vertical stripe and the dot valid pin-1/top-marking styles for the TPS5430DDA?
-
Do the marking formats shown in the attached photos conform to legitimate TI production markings?
-
Can the lot trace codes shown above provide any indication of the assembly date or manufacturing site?
-
Is there any recommended way to further verify these parts, especially the device with the dot marking?
I understand that photographs alone may not be sufficient to authenticate components, particularly when they were not purchased through an authorized TI distributor. I would mainly like to confirm whether this marking style is consistent with any known TI production variant.
The two photographs are attached for reference.
Thank you.
