电池过充、过放、短路等保护需要一个专门的保护IC，bq24045是充电IC能提供充电保护，提供不了放电保护。
常规的锂电池单节保护IC可以考虑BQ2970x系列。
4节串联保护IC可以考虑BQ40Z50-R1、BQ4050等方案。
