First, bq24157 pin E2 is input pin CD (charge disable) while bq24150 pin E2 is output AUX PWR. Second, registers 1 - 4 are the same for the two parts and so the same code should work.. Register 5 of bq24157 includes control of the VINDPM feature of the bq24157 and status of the DPM loops, which might be helpful. Of course, if you need to charge higher than 4.2V or increase the maximum charge current, you will need to write to Register 6 immediately after power up before writing to any other register.
