BQ25710: CHRG_OK pull down issue.

Part Number: BQ25710

At present, it has been found that when Vbus drops to 5V after unplugging AC, the CHRG_OK pin will be pulled down (as shown in the figure, yellow represents CHRG-OK, and green represents VBUS)

Normal should be CHRG_OK pull down when VBUS is below 3.2V,  but in the figure, VBUS is at 5V and CHRG_ OK has already been lowered. At the same time, we have also verified that the REGN pin voltage stably outputs 6V.

If it is not a problem, please help to answer the phenomenon

  • 你好,I tried this in the lab and didn't see the phenomenon that you describe. Could you tell me what was used to source Vbus? Also, was the battery connected during this test? If so, could you send the register values when the CHRG_OK pin drops the first time?

  • Vbus is a 20V power supply from the adapter. Could you tell me which address register values i need to check?

  • 您好,I am interested in the Charge Status Register and Prochot Status Registers when the CHRG_OK goes low the first time, but it could also be helpful to just get a register dump before the CHRG_OK goes low so I can test this with the register settings you have.

  • This file is the log data from startup to shutdown when the problem occurred.

  • 您好, 请参考下面内容

I looked at the registers and I didn't see any faults in the Status Registers and it is not clear what might be causing CHRG_OK to go low. I notice that the samples occur in 4 second increments. Are there read and writes in-between these samples or does the host just read/write to the device every 4 seconds?

I also noticed a strange behavior, it seems like the Charge_Option_0 register might switch the top half bits with the bottom half bits in the sample transitions from 8 to 9 and 23 to 24. I'm not sure if the host is writing this intentionally or not or if it is a firmware issue, but it just looked suspicious. I also noticed that the Input Voltage Register changed from 6400 mV to 18240 mV. I am also not sure if this is intentional or not. I highlighted where all of the register changes occur, this helped me decipher how the registers changed from sample to sample.

I tested this in the lab again with the register settings in the first sample, and I again did not see this phenomena. Could you send me two scope captures of this phenomena happening measuring VBUS, IBUS, VSYS, and CHRG_OK then one measuring VBUS, IBAT, VBAT, and CHRG_OK
