BQ25792: The charging current cannot be stabilized at the maximum value

What is the battery voltage in "low battery mode"?  If you mean the battery is below MINSYS voltage, then the charger clamps the max charge current to 2A regardless of charge current register setting.

The battery voltage is 3.8V, which is higher than the MINSYS voltage (3.5V). The measured charging current is only maintained at 0.8A, and we cannot continue to increase the current

What do the status and fault registers in REG0x1B through 0x27 report?  Is the charger in CV or taper mode because the voltage at its BATP is already at VREG?  Is input power being limited by IINDPM, VINDPM or TREG?
