TPS40322: Is there an error in the PMP20516 reference design?

Part Number: TPS40322
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP20516

In the TPS40322 datasheet it’s recommended not to use the remote-sense amplifier when the output voltage exceeds 2.2 V. However, in the PMP20516 reference design (built on the PMP6857 board), the output voltage is 5 V, yet the remote-sense amplifier is still used, and its output pin DIFFO is tied into the feedback network.

Wouldn’t it be better to bypass the remote sense amplifier (tie ILIM2/VSNS to ground through a 100 kΩ resistor, connect EN2/SS2/GSNS to ground, and leave DIFFO floating) and instead route the output voltage directly into the feedback resistor divider?
