TDA4VE-Q1: If TDA4VE's SOM cannot support low speed SD Card?

Part Number: TDA4VE-Q1

When using the TDA4VE, I have some doubts about the schematic screenshot below—if The Using Card is not a high-speed card , that means the VDD_SD_DV must stay 3.3V .

then both LDOs on U8 will operate simultaneously. Would directly connecting OUT1 at 3.3V and OUT2 at 1.8V cause any problems?

(EN1 and EN2 of U8 both HIGH.)

  • No issue with this configuration.  When the 3.3V output is enabled, the 1.8V regulator (also enabled) will see the output above its regulated voltage threshold and disable the internal FET (effectively disabling the 1.8V regulation).
