TMS320F280039C: QPOSCMP register is active register or shadow register ？

In the qep moudle, if QPOSCMP register is activer register ,who is the shadow register, if QPOSCMP register is shadow register ,who is the active register. I see only one register in the guidence book.

The position-compare (QPOSCMP) register is shadowed and shadow mode can be enabled or disabled using the QPOSCTL[PSSHDW] bit. If the shadow mode is not enabled, the CPU writes directly to the active position compare register.
