C6747定时周期问题

你好，我用的是C6747芯片，定时器采用定时器0，非链接模式，采用TIM12，芯片资料上写定时器采用的是AUXCLK时钟，AUXCLK时钟频率直接是外部晶振24M，如果想定时1.4s，我认为，定时器周期应该按24M/1.4来计算，但是看TI的例程，设置的定时器周期是按前面算出来方法的一半，请问到底哪种是对的？谢谢
