关于DM36x里的"ALAW"

DM36x的VPSS里面有一个ALAW的概念，在sprufg8c_TMS320DM36x Digital Media System-on-Chip (DMSoC) Video Processing Front End (VPFE) User's Guide里面只有简单的描述“Inverse ALAW decompression of RAW data from SDRAM”，

不知道ALAW具体是什么意思，希望TI的专家能予以解释
