TDA4VM: 前视帧率问题

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hello TI friend,

I have a question for you. The front view frame sync signal is provided by TDA4, and the front view camera sensor outputs to the deserializer (max96722) at 25fps, but the frame rate printed in the application (multi_camera) log is 20fps.

I did the following experiment:

  1. When the sensor is configured to output at 30fps, the frame rate printed in the multi_camera log is 25fps.

  2. When the sensor outputs at 25fps, I measured the frequency of the frame sync pin to be 20Hz.

Why don't the frame rates output by the sensor and printed by the multi_camera log correspond? Thank you.

Happy New Year!

  • Hello,

One possible explanation for the difference in frame rates is that the sensor may be outputting frames at a certain rate, but due to processing or synchronization delays, the frame rate printed in the log may not match the actual output rate of the sensor.

Another potential reason could be related to the configuration and synchronization of the components in the system. The front view frame sync signal provided by TDA4 and the deserializer (max96722) may be operating at different frequencies or with different timing, leading to discrepancies in the reported frame rates.

    Regards,

    Gary
