PGA970: [Help] PGA970 LVDT Project Development – Request for Reference Firmware Denied, Seeking Official Assistance

Part Number: PGA970

Dear TI Engineers and Community Experts,

I am an electronic engineer currently developing an LVDT linear position sensor based on the PGA970.

I am encountering an issue accessing essential development resources and would appreciate your guidance.

1. Background:
To accelerate prototyping and software development, I need access to the official reference firmware (e.g., the PGA970_FW_Release package) and related application documentation for the PGA970.

I would like to explicitly clarify that this project is intended for general industrial and commercial applications only, and is NOT related to any military, aerospace, or defense projects.

I previously submitted an access request through the official TI export control form but received a denial notice.

2. The Issue:
The denial email suggested I contact the "Customer Support Center" or "post on the E2E forum" for further assistance regarding access.

3. Specific Requests for Assistance:

  • Verification:

    • Name:  booX  jaa(王燊)
    • Company/university :   NAKAI
    • Email: jaabooX@outlook.com
    • Country:  china

and we are formally developing an industrial-grade LVDT sensor. What specific information or verification process is required to gain access to this restricted firmware for our commercial development?

  • Firmware Access: If the permission issue cannot be resolved immediately, is there an alternative official channel to obtain the reference firmware for our non-military application?

  • Documentation: Besides the firmware and the public "Software Quick Start Guide" (SLDU025), are there other critical application documents that should be referenced for industrial sensor calibration?

4. Steps Already Taken:

  • Checked local installation directories (e.g., C:\Program Files\PGA970firmware*) but could not locate the firmware files.

  • Reviewed all publicly available documents on the TI product page.

Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to hearing from the community or TI officials.
