CC2755R10: CC2755 Schematic Design

Part Number: CC2755R10

In the design based on CC2755R10, I need to minimize the overall dimensions of the module to the greatest extent possible. According to the reference design documentation, B1 serves as a placeholder reserved for a ferrite bead; however, a 0-ohm resistor is actually used in our practical circuit implementation. Is it acceptable to remove component B1 completely?

  • The placeholder is for a ferrite bead (typically is used for our Wireless Connectivity reference designs) in case you have a noisy supply and require additional VDDS filtering; it depends on your specific design and if you expect to have other noisy circuitry in your design. For a battery powered application it's not typically required.
