DP83TD510E-EVM: How to configure RMII repeater mode

Part Number: DP83TD510E-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83TD510E

Hello, I would like to inquire about the usage of DP83TD510E The problem is as follows:
I hope to configure both DP83TD510E in repeater mode to achieve back-to-back communication,
I have configured the pins to repeater mode according to the first picture, and also pulled up the RX-D2 (pin14) pin according to the second picture,
May I ask if this is the correct repeater mode? Can two PHY communicate with each other?
When I tried to pull up the RX-D2 (pin14) pin, I found that the pin was not pulled up successfully. I ensured that my power supply was normal, and I measured the pin voltage with an oscilloscope to be around 0.5V, but it was not pulled up successfully. May I ask why this is? Will this phenomenon cause problems with my configuration?aa.jpgbbb.jpg

Yes this is the correct mode. The PHYs should be able to communicate with each other

I ensured that my power supply was normal, and I measured the pin voltage with an oscilloscope to be around 0.5V, but it was not pulled up successfully. May I ask why this is? This behaviour is expected. The strap pins are used to sample the voltage on those pins when the PHY powers up. After the PHY samples these voltages, it goes into the desired mode, after which some of the strap pins, such as Pin 14, are driven by the PHY since they are used for MII configuration and are used to in data transportation. Because of this, if you try to measure the voltage on this pin when the PHY is powered up, you wont see the strap voltage. The strap voltage is only present for a split second after the device is powered up/reset, after which this pin goes back to normal behaviour.

If you have used the correct resistor 2.5kOhms to PU, the straps should be working as expected.
