官方datasheet上说可以通过调节输出分频器的值输出10MHz到15GHz的任何频率,但其分频只能限于2/4/6/8/12/16……等,而且VCO频率大于10GHz时,最大分频值只能为6,那么其中间必然有些段落不连续, Table 8 中Channel Divider Segments表里也明确了输出不连续,为何手册上还要写科输出10MHz到15GHz的任何频率?官方不能诚实一点吗?还是该怎么理解?

我个人的理解是,不仅仅是这款时钟芯片,对于任何一款时钟芯片来说,即使给出了输出频率的范围,但是我们实际在进行选型时,除了根据自己的输入输出频率是否满足,还需要考虑VCO的范围,分频系数的设定,包含整数或小数等等,从而决定是否满足实际应用,不会想当然的就认为给出了一个输出频率范围,就草率的决定这款是否符合。
