We use DS90UH984 to drive a display with 1 port eDP interface. (SER IS 983);
During ESD test, the T-con will reset itself when detecting a error, and then send a HPD interrupt to 984,
I want to know, Does 984 can monitor the HPD signal and rebuild the eDP connection all the time during normal display?
Thanks.
Hello I think the soft reset should re-initiate link training with the screen.
I would confirm this question again, and would reply you as soon as possible.
984 does not automatically link-train upon HPD request after the initial video bringup script has been run. It will require manual SW intervention to reset 984 if link training is lost.
Fine, thanks;
So I think a eDP lost signal from T-con is necessity to the host during the FPD-LINK.
No problem。
