Hi TI teams:
I'm surverying a SDI output solution, and found LMH0340 might suit for our usage. But I need to confirm with you about the requirement of input LVDS frequncy(data rate) first.
The colock frequency of slected LVDS transistor can support up to 80~157MHz(Another one can reach to 105MHz), can it transmit 1080p@60Hz (3G) signal as input to LMH0340?
You can refer to the detail desctiption in the following links.
Conditions:
Max. resolution: 1920*1080@60Hz
Color depth: 10-bit
Thanks for the support and wait for your reply.
LMH1340 support 1080p@60Hz resolution。
1080p@60Hz need 148.5Mhz pixel clock,10bit color depth, LMH1340 could support 1485Mbps。
Hi Kailyn:
Thanks for your reply.
What I want to know is the requirements for front-end input LVDS, because this is used for monitor not camera. I'd like to use THCV226 as the LVDS transmitter. But I'm not sure if the LVDS transmitter can meet the requirements of LMH0340. Could you help to check?
Hello,THCV226 outputs 4 pairs of LVDS data, but please notes that LMH0340 has 5 LVDS signal pairs plus clock pair and require external FPGA. FPGA IP provides 5 LVDS pairs to 20 bits interface (like LMH0030/LMH0031). Please below note a link to FPGA IP and documentation that can help your FPGA development.
Hi Kailyn:
THCV226 can provide 5 pairs LVDS data(RLA~Ep/n) and 1 pair clock(RLCLKp/n). Can LMH0340 be used for video conversion on the monitor?
Do you have local technical support? We would like to confirm as soon as possible whether this plan is applicable? If it doesn't work, we're thinking of other ways.
Can LMH0340 be used for video conversion on the monitor?
I think not, because LMH0340 only performs serialization . There must be a FPGA that implements SDI protocol. LMH0340 by itself cannot support this.
