I am referencing the TIDM-02013 design for a Totem-Pole PFC implementation. Is it possible to perform pure software simulation without hardware? If yes or no, what steps should I follow to debug and verify the feasibility of the code?

I am referring to the design of TIDM-02013 and currently studying/researching Totem-pole PFC. I am using CCS 20.4 with C2000 for project development, but when building the project, it prompts that the target board cannot be found. I would like to seek advice on how to perform algorithm simulation when the target board is not available.
