hi,
I want to inqure a question, about bq4050 SMBC and SMBD.A typical circuit does not have parallel capacitors at both ends of the regulator, but we want to pass high ESD requirements.
We add capacitors at both ends of the regulator. The question is 100pF capacitance is OK, but 100nF capacitance cannot communicate. I want to know why 100nF icannot communicate.
Looking forward to your reply,
Hi, we've got your issue and escalated to E2E for more help, please expect the response.
Thanks.
Hi, maximum capacitance including PCB and wire capacitance on each line cannot exceed 400pF per spec. You should use low capacitance ESD protector instead of capacitor.
Hi Cherry,
Thank you very much, could I inquire another question, where I can check the spec. the each line cannot exceed 400pF,I check the bq4050 DS/EVM/TR,but I didn't find that.If you find, please tell me.And you said the ' each line',it means the BQ4050 32 pin ,right? If I understand you wrong, please let me know。
Looking forward to your reply,
Best regards,
Hi,
Each line refers to SMBD and SMBC only. The higher the capacitance, the lower the reliability, so we would not recommend designing based on the maximum value even if it was specified in a document.
Thanks.
Hi Cherry,
the document you said the maximum value 400pF,where I can find?
looking forward to your reply
