Why Teach DSP?
Signal Processing is a core subject in any electronics degree, but it is not always taught at a practical level. By including real hands-on experience, you'll dramatically enhance student learning, understanding and motivation and TI makes it easy with our tools and teaching materials.

DSP Devices can execute one or more MAC- multiply/accumulate functions in one clock cycle, therefore they are particularly well suited for data crunching applications.

Educators at universities and colleges worldwide feature DSP courses such as Signals and Systems, DSP Theory, Digital Control, Telecommunications, Image Processing, Biomedical Signal Processing or start a new course in Real Time Signal Processing.

TI DSP in Education
Today over 2,000 labs in universities worldwide utilize TI DSP hardware and software systems for teaching. Teaching with industry relevant real-time hardware and software systems provides a level of effective education not found with simulation software labs alone. Teaching ROMs from TI are available as well as hundreds of examples written by educators for educators in textbooks for teaching real-time implementation from the basics such as IIR, FIR, FFT filters to the more advanced Audio, Communications and Imaging examples.

All TI DSP and DSP+ARM and microcontroller platforms can be programmed with the same install of Code Composer Studio integrated development environment DSP library provides source-code library of general signal processing math and vector functions.
