The C6000 DSP platform includes the industry's highest performance fixed and floating-point DSPs including the fastest fixed-point DSPs running at up to 1.2 GHz. Applications include Audio, Video, voice, security, conferencing, analytics, test & measurement. Software support for C6000 is excellent. C6000 DSP Libraries (DSPLIB), C6000 Image Processing Libraries (IMGLIB) , DSP Math Libraries for Floating Point Devices (MATHLIB) and Telecom and Media Libraries (TELCOMLIB) provide helpful libraries as well as Audio, video and speech codecs are available. For the DaVinci products, which combine the performance of C6000 DSP with Video accelerators on chip, application specific SDK’s are available for download to support many video and vision applications. Multimedia codecs and ease of use development tools for Linux or Independent O/S Support is available. |

With devices using the Single Core Floating or Fixed Point C6000 VLIW architecture or the dual core C6000 Floating Point plus ARM9 core (OMAPL138), the C6000 Platform provides an easy way to utilize high level C code as well as other programming interfaces such as Matlab and Simulink to bring Real Time signal processing easily to students. Hundreds of instructors are using this award winning architecture to provide relevant examples in lab courses for Signal and Systems, Computer Architecture, DSP Theory, Real Time DSP Lab, Image Processing, and Telecommunications courses. With support from many authors in languages around the world, the C6000 family of DSPs are supported by many textbooks and teaching examples to make adding a lab component or setting up a lab course easy. TI provides 2 Teaching ROM’s with materials ready to use written by instructors for instructors covering examples, teaching slides, source code and assistance.
