The OMAP-L138 DSP+ARM9™ Development Kit* (LCDK) will enable fast and easy Linux software and hardware development. This scalable platform will ease and accelerate software and hardware development of everyday applications that require real-time signal processing and control functional, including industrial control, medical diagnostics and communications. A wide variety of standard interfaces for connectivity and storage allow students to easily bring audio, video and other signals onto the board. Expansion headers such as LCD screen expansion headers and Leopard Imaging’s camera sensor allow students to extend the board’s functionality.
*An emulator is required to program the LCDK. Recommend the XDS100v2 USB JTAG Emulator (14-pin TI connector).

This is the most comprehensive text available for hands-on teaching of Digital Signal Processing, and the first book to feature the new floating point DSP development system, the OMAP-L138 eXperimenter and Code Composer Studio v4. Using a practical approach, the book provides a large number of real-time example programs that use actual input and output signals and give visible and audible results. It is an excellent teaching aid for professors wishing to teach DSP via laboratory experiments and for students or engineers wishing to study DSP using the inexpensive OMAP-L138 eXperimenter.
